Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations in a dynamic apparel company, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee accounting processes, including reporting, audits, and tax filings, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.
  • Implement process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Support investor relations and board communications with detailed financial insights and reporting.
  • Contribute to organizational success through proactive financial planning and risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets effectively.
  • Develop and analyze financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost optimization strategies to enhance financial health.
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
  • Establish robust internal controls and risk management protocols to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive informed decisions.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements and management reports to stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams of finance professionals.
  • Knowledge of wholesale industry practices, including royalty and factoring, is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks experience and CPA certification are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
