Overview

  • Lead nursing operations for sub-acute and long-term care units, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with standards.
  • Manage day shift operations, overseeing a team of dedicated nursing professionals in a collaborative environment.
  • Coordinate care plans and implement best practices to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, and patient-centered care within the facility.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies for nursing practices.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise nursing staff during day shifts, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Monitor patient care activities, addressing concerns and implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Develop and maintain care plans tailored to individual patient needs and conditions.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to review performance, discuss updates, and provide training.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and enhance patient care services.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing to maintain optimal coverage and efficiency.
  • Participate in audits and inspections, ensuring readiness and compliance with standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and current NYS RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or nursing home settings.
  • BLS CPR certification and strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care delivery.
  • Experience managing nursing teams and implementing care plans.
  • Commitment to upholding organizational mission and values in patient care.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in nursing management roles.
