Job Description

Overview

  • The Quality Control Specialist (Structural) ensures compliance with structural specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of structural components, including earthwork, foundations, steel, and concrete.
  • Verify adherence to project plans, building codes, and approved shop drawings.
  • Maintain comprehensive quality control records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and compliance.
  • Apply expertise to create strategic solutions and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Contribute to the safety and integrity of the project's framework.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor concrete work phases, including formwork, rebar placement, and strength testing.
  • Inspect structural steel erection, verifying dimensions, connections, and welding quality.
  • Oversee site preparation, excavation, soil compaction, and footing installations.
  • Review structural material certifications to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Document quality control records, including reports and deficiency lists.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes and technical specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on project requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of International Building Code, ACI, and AWS standards.
  • Strong initiative and responsibility for delivering excellence.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • US citizenship required.
