Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise daily operations of the operating room, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
• Lead and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and teamwork.
• Develop and enforce policies to uphold patient care standards and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with surgeons and medical staff to optimize surgical schedules and patient outcomes.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement improvements to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
• Manage budget and resources to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
• Facilitate communication between departments to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Certification in CPR and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience; 5 years preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience in operating room management and modernization projects is a plus.
