Job Description

Overview

  • Support the finance team with bank reconciliations during a temporary onsite assignment.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations for multiple accounts within a fast-paced environment.
  • Identify discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Collaborate with accounting staff to resolve outstanding items.
  • Maintain reconciliation schedules and provide updates to management.
  • Adhere to internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Utilize analytical skills to assess account activity effectively.
  • Contribute to the timely completion of the reconciliation project.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform accurate reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
  • Investigate discrepancies using transaction histories and supporting documents.
  • Verify coding and posting of financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with accounting staff to clarify outstanding items.
  • Maintain updated reconciliation schedules and internal records.
  • Prepare reconciliation summaries and reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Work independently to meet tight deadlines.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
