Overview

  • Lead IT solutions delivery for R&D operations, ensuring seamless system management and strategic alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system capabilities and support R&D initiatives effectively.
  • Manage technical ownership of industry-specific R&D systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for system lifecycle management, including budgeting and vendor coordination.
  • Support application deployment projects, focusing on software development lifecycle and technical solutions.
  • Provide analytical support for complex projects, establishing timelines and coordinating resources.
  • Ensure systems remain in a validated state, aligning with quality assurance and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on system changes and outages.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage technical ownership and lifecycle of R&D systems, ensuring efficient resource allocation and compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors to maintain system performance and meet service level agreements.
  • Facilitate steering committees to enhance application value and user experience.
  • Lead technical strategies for deploying and upgrading validated computer systems.
  • Organize requirements gathering and design sessions with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Develop and administer system procedures for installation, monitoring, upgrades, and recovery.
  • Provide tier 3 support for systems, conducting root cause analysis and resolving technical issues.
  • Track and prioritize system enhancement requests, ensuring continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, IT, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical or business analyst roles within R&D systems.
  • Proficiency in SAS architecture, Linux/Unix, Windows environments, and database technologies.
  • Experience with Pharma/BioTech R&D systems and delivering mid-to-large size projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for project delivery.
  • Ability to manage vendors and service providers to meet system support needs.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, data security, and system validation standards.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
