Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage litigation calendars and coordinate schedules to ensure timely case progression.
  • Draft, proofread, and organize legal documents, including pleadings and discovery materials.
  • Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and relevant parties for case preparation.
  • Prepare exhibits and materials for depositions and trials, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform e-filing tasks using NYSCEF and PACER systems efficiently.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as billing and expense tracking.
  • Maintain and update litigation files in compliance with firm policies.
  • Contribute to achieving billable hour targets through effective task management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree required; Paralegal certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a legal firm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal e-filing systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Notary certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
