Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and manage Emergency Room staff, ensuring optimal performance and patient care.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures in collaboration with hospital leadership.
- Monitor patient care quality and clinical outcomes, addressing areas for improvement.
- Coordinate staffing schedules to meet patient care demands and maintain operational efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff, fostering professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and departmental operations.
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and training activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; actively pursuing BSN completion within two years acceptable.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care leadership experience in Emergency Department settings.
- Current registered nurse license in the state of practice or active compact license.
- Certifications: ACLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ENPC or PALS required within 90 days of hire.
- Strong knowledge of emergency care protocols and trauma readiness standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
