Women’S Health Nurse Practitioner

Overview

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services to women, including preventative care, chronic condition management, and gynecological exams.
• Deliver specialized care during pregnancy and childbirth, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Work in a supportive and collaborative environment with a focus on women's health.
• Engage with patients from diverse backgrounds, utilizing language skills when applicable.
• Maintain a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional Saturday shifts.
• Utilize advanced nursing practices to prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
• Contribute to the overall wellbeing of patients through education and advocacy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform annual exams, screenings, and preventative care for women across their lifespan.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension with tailored treatment plans.
• Provide specialized care during pregnancy and childbirth, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Conduct gynecological exams and prescribe appropriate medications.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices.

Job Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing with specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a gynecological setting.
• Proficiency in Creole or Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of women's health issues and advanced nursing practices.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Valid certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
