Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and implement clinical education programs for nursing staff.
• Assess and validate nursing competencies to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify training needs and opportunities.
• Provide mentorship and support to nurses in Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Detox units.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new nursing staff.
• Promote evidence-based practices and continuous professional development.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to hospital growth initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (NJ or eligible).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience; 3 years preferred.
• Experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Detox units.
• Prior experience as a nurse educator, preceptor, or charge nurse.
• Strong communication skills and passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Flexibility to occasionally support overnight staff education.
• Commitment to fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
