Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a senior analytical and execution partner in private credit investments.
  • Lead financial modeling, diligence coordination, and investment material preparation.
  • Engage deeply in operational underwriting, data validation, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Shape underwriting standards, monitoring frameworks, and portfolio construction strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior investment professionals to evaluate private credit opportunities.
  • Contribute to a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with institutional rigor.
  • Mentor junior analysts and develop best practices across investment teams.
  • Work in a dynamic, on-site environment in New York City.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Analyze financial and market data to assess credit risks and investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain transaction-level financial models for underwriting and scenario analysis.
  • Coordinate primary diligence efforts across financial, operational, and legal workstreams.
  • Prepare high-quality investment memoranda and presentations for decision-making.
  • Design scalable reporting and performance-monitoring frameworks for portfolio companies.
  • Oversee post-closing portfolio monitoring, including financial and collateral metrics.
  • Support special projects to standardize underwriting and portfolio-management processes.
  • Leverage networks to source investment opportunities and deepen industry relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in private credit, structured finance, or related fields.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling, credit analysis, and transaction execution.
  • Experience with asset-backed lending or structured credit is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL or data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and execution-driven in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with extensive borrower-level data and operational metrics.
