Job Description

Overview

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end billing process within the organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards and firm policies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to attorneys, leadership, and staff on billing and revenue management procedures.
  • Coordinate with global teams to implement billing best practices and support financial system upgrades.
  • Facilitate Finance Committee calls, ensuring actionable steps are executed effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and proprietary information.
  • Proactively assess and suggest improvements to revenue-related procedures for enhanced efficiency.
  • Support firm objectives by aligning billing processes with financial goals.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless billing operations and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide guidance and assistance to attorneys and staff regarding billing and collections processes.
  • Coordinate with global billing teams to implement firmwide best practices and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison with Finance Committee members, facilitating calls and actionable steps.
  • Review revenue-related procedures to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Protect and manage highly sensitive financial and proprietary information.
  • Support the rollout of new software and financial system upgrades.
  • Collaborate with teams to align billing processes with firm objectives.
  • Provide training and support to staff on billing systems and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in law firm billing processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of billing systems and revenue management practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction across organizational levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in implementing financial system upgrades and process improvements.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
