Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the Emergency Services department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve facility objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and interdisciplinary communication within the healthcare team.
  • Oversee staffing, budget monitoring, and operational planning to optimize patient care delivery.
  • Promote employee engagement, development, and retention through leadership and coaching initiatives.
  • Enhance patient experience by implementing evidence-based practices and customer service strategies.
  • Collaborate with administrative and medical teams to expand services and drive organizational growth.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, maintaining high-quality care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Cultivate a superior clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Manage clinical practice variations to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Direct nursing practice and unit operations, ensuring patient and family needs are met and evaluated.
  • Provide leadership to achieve optimal patient experience and outcomes through strategic initiatives.
  • Foster employee engagement and development through coaching, feedback, and training programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for service expansion and differentiation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of applicable experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Proven track record of metrics, performance, and accomplishments in emergency services.
  • Energetic, team-oriented leadership skills with a focus on accountability and collaboration.
  • Experience managing high-volume emergency departments with strong operational oversight.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory standards in healthcare operations.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
