Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Draft detailed mechanical system layouts and design documentation for building systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Prepare mechanical drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with architectural, electrical, and structural teams to ensure design integration and alignment.
- Incorporate feedback, updates, and revisions into design documents promptly to maintain project momentum.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and clarifying design requirements.
- Ensure adherence to firm standards and contribute to overall project quality control.
- Collaborate with engineers and consultants to achieve project objectives and client satisfaction.
- Maintain organized documentation and manage multiple project deadlines effectively.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer; 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of building mechanical systems, including HVAC and hydronics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
