Director of Infrastructure

Overview

• Lead the strategic development and management of infrastructure operations for a forward-thinking organization, ensuring optimal network and hybrid cloud performance.
• Oversee global network security, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud connectivity, ensuring robust protection and efficiency.
• Drive innovation in hybrid cloud stack development, lifecycle management, and automation to enhance operational capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic projects and optimize workflows for organizational success.
• Ensure adherence to change management policies for seamless infrastructure modifications and updates.
• Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations, addressing incidents and deploying effective solutions promptly.
• Contribute to the selection, deployment, and maintenance of security tools, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation of technologies and network assets under your purview for operational transparency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Monitor and optimize LAN/MAN/WAN/Internet services to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
• Administer and manage Cisco routers, switches, Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls, and cryptography systems effectively.
• Oversee wireless connectivity, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Lightweight Access Points, ensuring reliability.
• Perform network maintenance, system upgrades, and security configurations to uphold infrastructure integrity.
• Automate system and network deployments using scripting tools such as PowerShell and Terraform.
• Collaborate on strategic initiatives to enhance infrastructure capabilities and align with organizational goals.
• Ensure seamless integration of network technologies within AWS and Azure environments.
• Participate in asset management tasks and maintain comprehensive network documentation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 10 years of technical experience.
• Proficiency in Palo Alto Firewalls, OSPF/BGP routing protocols, and AWS/Azure administration.
• Experience with VMware vCenter/ESXi and scripting tools such as PowerShell and Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend work and travel to remote datacenters.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and adhere to security program policies.
