Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech-language skills to identify therapy needs and set goals.
- Deliver therapy services as outlined in the IEP, adapting techniques to individual student requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates and involve them in the therapy process.
- Collaborate with educational staff during team meetings to align therapy goals with academic objectives.
- Deliver in-service training sessions to enhance staff understanding of speech-language therapy practices.
- Participate in supervision and feedback sessions to refine skills and ensure quality service delivery.
- Adapt therapy methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental stages.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or equivalent; professional license preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally in speech-language therapy.
- Bilingual proficiency is advantageous but not mandatory for the role.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills to manage therapy plans effectively.
