Overview
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to clients with mental health and substance issues in a supportive environment.
- Work on-site at a facility dedicated to rehabilitation and client care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address clients' medical and psychosocial needs.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with medication administration protocols.
- Advocate for client health preferences and goals through education and partnership.
- Perform health checks and coordinate with nursing leadership for optimal outcomes.
- Provide emergency first aid and CPR assistance when required.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and case conferences.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise assigned staff and oversee client care activities.
- Link clients to medical treatments and psychosocial rehabilitation services.
- Coordinate information with physicians, pharmacies, and other treatment providers.
- Manage client health needs through regular health and vitals checks.
- Document and maintain medication administration records and controlled substance logs.
- Educate clients on health practices and advocate for their health goals.
- Provide emergency medical assistance as needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned to support facility operations.
Job Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification is required.
- Associate of Science (AS) degree in nursing or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably 2 years.
- Experience working with clients with mental health and substance issues is preferred.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and compliance standards.
