Overview
- Lead nursing operations at a healthcare center, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and coordinate efforts of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CMAs.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and support teams to meet organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of medical and office supplies.
- Provide direct patient care, including triage, treatment, and counseling.
- Prepare and submit clinical reports to the Director of Nursing.
- Participate in healthcare collaboratives and outreach initiatives.
- Support operational needs through flexible scheduling and site rotations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and standards.
- Coordinate patient flow and manage clinical encounters efficiently.
- Monitor and reconcile daily cash receipts and clinical logs.
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Educate and counsel patients and families on health matters.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
- Ensure accurate documentation and chart audits for compliance.
- Participate in clinical outreach and community health initiatives.
- Maintain and monitor medical equipment and supplies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; MSN preferred.
- Valid New Jersey RN license and current CPR certification.
- Minimum 3 years of ambulatory care experience, preferably in an FQHC setting.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in ambulatory or acute care settings.
- Proficiency in EHR systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to flexible schedules.
- Bilingual proficiency in languages spoken by patients is preferred.
