Overview

  • Work remotely as a Tax Preparer, focusing on ultra-high net worth individuals and families.
  • Prepare tax returns and related work papers adhering to industry standards.
  • Assist in filing tax forms and tracking assignment statuses efficiently.
  • Engage in research of pertinent tax issues and provide timely deliverables.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay updated on tax law changes and leverage continuing education opportunities.
  • Contribute to consulting projects and support team initiatives.
  • Utilize tax software programs and BNA Income Tax Planner effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare moderate to complex individual and gift tax returns.
  • Develop quarterly and annual income tax projections and extension forms.
  • Assist with private equity and hedge fund K-1s handling.
  • Ensure compliance with tax authorities and manage disbursements.
  • Collaborate with team members in both remote and in-office environments.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels.
  • Participate in feedback sessions and demonstrate a willingness to learn.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree is required.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in tax preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with tax software programs and BNA Income Tax Planner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain high integrity.
  • Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic.
