Overview
- Support attorneys in managing complex litigation cases, ensuring seamless coordination and document organization throughout all stages of the legal process.
- Engage in trial preparation, deposition management, and discovery processes, contributing to the success of high-stakes legal matters.
- Conduct advanced legal research using industry-standard tools to compile, analyze, and manage case-related information effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely document production and filing.
- Assist in courtroom proceedings, providing logistical support and managing exhibits to facilitate smooth operations.
- Maintain and update case databases, ensuring accessibility and accuracy of critical information for team use.
- Contribute to the development of litigation strategies by providing detailed case analysis and proactive support.
- Work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities effectively to meet case demands.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate document production processes, including indexing, redaction, duplication, and maintaining master document sets for litigation cases.
- Assist attorneys in deposition and hearing preparations, managing exhibits and logistics seamlessly to ensure readiness.
- Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with legal standards and accuracy in submissions.
- Utilize legal research tools to conduct detailed searches and compile relevant case information for attorney review.
- Provide logistical support during trials, managing exhibits and assisting attorneys to facilitate smooth courtroom operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support litigation processes efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain internal case databases, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for team use and case management.
- Contribute to the success of litigation cases through meticulous attention to detail and proactive case management strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal; 4 years preferred for advanced case handling.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe, and legal research tools such as Relativity and Westlaw.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex legal documents and tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal abilities for team collaboration.
- Experience with AMLaw firms is preferred, showcasing familiarity with high-level legal practices and standards.
