Overview

  • Lead and oversee credit and collections operations, ensuring efficient processes and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and mitigate financial risks effectively.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in credit management.
  • Supervise and mentor a team, fostering professional growth and collaborative success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial systems and audit processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, negotiating payment terms and resolving disputes effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices in all operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Evaluate customer financial profiles and establish appropriate credit limits.
  • Manage credit applications and oversee cash posting and reconciliation processes.
  • Lead collections efforts to minimize overdue accounts and prevent bad debt.
  • Design and implement policies to improve credit and collections efficiency.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts and devise strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Train and supervise team members, promoting a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on audits, reconciliations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships, addressing payment concerns effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections management.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team and client interactions.
  • Ability to travel out-of-state 2-3 times per year as required.
