Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Manage and maintain accurate medical records and documentation practices.
- Conduct training sessions on infection control, OSHA guidelines, and AMAP certification.
- Collaborate with residential teams to address medical needs effectively.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to develop healthcare plans for residents.
- Ensure compliance with timelines for consents and mandated procedures.
- Oversee quarterly medication reviews and address healthcare concerns promptly.
- Contribute to organizational committees focused on healthcare quality improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and current NYS RN license required.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience and 2 years of management oversight of medical personnel.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities and healthcare management essential.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and excellent communication skills necessary.
- Experience in conducting health education and regulatory compliance training preferred.
- Ability to participate in interdisciplinary meetings and organizational committees.
- Flexibility to handle on-call responsibilities and occasional fieldwork.
