Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assess students' speech-language abilities to determine therapy needs.
  • Provide therapy services as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.
  • Train and communicate effectively with parents to support therapy goals.
  • Offer in-service training and contribute to staff development initiatives.
  • Meet regularly with supervisors to review therapy plans and outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • New York State certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or equivalent.
  • Professional license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
