Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage the nursing team within the catheterization laboratory, ensuring optimal patient care and staff performance.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to maintain high-quality care and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline workflows.
  • Provide leadership in recruiting, training, and retaining skilled nursing professionals.
  • Monitor and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and innovation.
  • Ensure the catheterization laboratory operates smoothly and efficiently, meeting organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on advancements in cardiac care and integrate best practices into the department.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Recruit, interview, and hire qualified nursing personnel to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Provide ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Address and resolve conflicts among staff members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and manage the nursing unit's budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the catheterization laboratory.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance and patient outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in cardiac care or catheterization laboratory.
  • Advanced certifications such as ACLS, BLS, CNML, and TNCC highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on staff development.
  • Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
