Overview

  • Drive the design and optimization of advanced network infrastructures for a leading financial services firm.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance with industry standards.
  • Leverage expertise in Cisco technologies, routing protocols, and firewalls to support critical business functions.
  • Engage in strategic planning for network enhancements and telecommunication systems.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure continuous network uptime and reliability.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies to implement innovative solutions and improve network performance.
  • Contribute to comprehensive documentation for network configurations and operational procedures.
  • Participate in a hybrid work model, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer and optimize network and telecommunication systems for secure and efficient operations.
  • Provide Level 2 and 3 support for IT teams, addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Design, deploy, and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Implement and maintain robust firewall configurations to ensure security and compliance.
  • Collaborate on integrating network solutions with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee telecom provisioning processes for optimal service delivery.
  • Support and maintain Cisco Unified Communications services and audiovisual equipment.
  • Participate in rotational on-call support for after-hours and weekend troubleshooting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in LAN/WAN/MAN management within financial services.
  • Proficiency in Cisco technologies, routing protocols, and firewall configurations.
  • Experience with VPNs, load balancers, and secure remote access solutions.
  • Preferred certifications: CCIE Voice, Routing and Switching, and Cisco Security.
  • Hands-on experience with network automation tools and IPC turret systems.
  • Strong network troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with rotational on-call duties.
