Job Description

Overview

  • Manage fund accounting processes for a leading investment firm, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial reporting and investor allocation strategies.
  • Provide expertise in fund structures, including complex investor allocations and fund management.
  • Support the Controller in strategic financial planning and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by implementing best practices in fund accounting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Handle complex investor allocations and manage fund structures effectively.
  • Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems, including Geneva, for streamlined operations.
  • Support the Controller in financial analysis and reporting for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of fund transactions and reconciliations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior finance associates.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by optimizing fund management practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • 6-10 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably with public/private CPA experience.
  • Proficiency in complex investor allocations and fund structures.
  • Experience with Geneva accounting software is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on-site 3-4 days per week in a hybrid arrangement.
