Overview
- Serve as Payroll Administrator in a temporary remote role supporting payroll operations for approximately 2,400 employees across the U.S. and Canada.
- Collaborate with a managed payroll provider (UKG) to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Handle back-end payroll processes, including data compilation, report generation, and payroll balancing.
- Provide support for payroll-related inquiries and assist managers with timecard edits and PTO approvals.
- Engage in payroll-related project work and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Utilize UKG Pro Workforce Management for timecard and accrual management tasks.
- Leverage strong Excel and Business Intelligence skills for report writing and data analysis.
- Work remotely with IT equipment provided, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop, audit, and maintain payroll accrual and operational reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and distribute standard weekly and monthly payroll reports to Operations and Finance teams.
- Assist managers with timecard edits and approve PTO requests for employees.
- Respond to general employee payroll and timekeeping questions, providing accurate and timely assistance.
- Compile payroll payment data into workbooks for submission to UKG Managed Payroll for processing.
- Perform payroll balancing by cross-checking entries and auditing payroll data prior to payroll commit.
- Engage in project work related to payroll operations and system enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and internal policies across U.S. and Canadian operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) or equivalent educational background.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration, with 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in UKG Pro Workforce Management, including timecards and accruals management.
- Strong Business Intelligence (BI) skills, including report writing and data analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting tasks.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with provided IT equipment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage payroll inquiries and support operations.
- Experience with payroll balancing, auditing, and compliance processes.
