Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Draft and file legal documents such as motions, petitions, and certifications.
- Prepare and file arbitration-related documents and manage bond claims.
- Maintain case databases and update client billing records.
- Submit OPRA and FOIL requests as required.
- Calendar legal deadlines and prepare attorney expense reports.
- Communicate with Union signatories and manage delinquency issues.
- Attend client meetings and draft meeting minutes.
- Conduct legal research using databases like Westlaw and LexisNexis.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal or law firm environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with New Jersey court systems and e-filing procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
