Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential litigation support to attorneys in a dynamic hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborate on preparing and organizing complex legal documents and case files.
  • Conduct detailed factual research using advanced e-discovery databases and legal resources.
  • Assist with trial preparation, logistics, and in-court support for attorneys.
  • Ensure accuracy in formatting, citation checking, and proofreading of legal briefs and motions.
  • Maintain and update litigation databases and files to support case management.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Utilize advanced software tools for document editing, comparison, and timekeeping.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate and prepare complex legal documents under attorney supervision.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct searches on e-discovery databases to locate relevant documents.
  • Assist attorneys with deposition preparation and logistics coordination.
  • Format, cite check, and proofread legal briefs and motions for filing.
  • Provide trial support, including logistics setup and travel arrangements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to streamline processes.
  • Handle additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by attorneys.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program required.
  • 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience, including arbitration and trial support.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, e-discovery databases, and legal research tools.
  • Strong knowledge of California federal and state court procedures and terminology.
  • Experience with timekeeping and expense reporting applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple case teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as required.
