Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage multiple state and local tax engagements, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on tax regulations, providing actionable insights to clients.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, memoranda, and correspondence, maintaining compliance standards.
  • Represent clients effectively in inquiries from tax authorities, showcasing professionalism.
  • Train and mentor team members, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Evaluate risks associated with technical tax positions and communicate them to stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; MST preferred.
  • CPA, EA, JD, or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in state and local tax; 9 years preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex tax engagements and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
