Overview
- Support litigation attorneys in a hybrid work environment, ensuring efficient case management and document preparation.
- Coordinate and manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and schedules to ensure compliance with court requirements.
- Prepare and revise legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery responses, with high attention to detail.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, and assembling trial notebooks.
- Maintain case files, both electronic and physical, ensuring accessibility and organization.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors to support case progression.
- Perform e-filing with state and federal courts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, processing mail, and supporting office operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare, format, and revise legal documents such as motions, briefs, and subpoenas.
- Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, hearings, and attorney schedules efficiently.
- File documents with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with e-filing protocols.
- Organize and maintain case files, both electronic and physical, for easy access.
- Assist with discovery processes, including document organization and production logs.
- Support attorneys in trial preparation, including assembling exhibits and witness materials.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and processing incoming mail.
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or legal secretary.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and e-filing platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
- High level of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism in all tasks.
- High School Diploma or GED required; no additional degree necessary.
