Overview
- Lead operations of a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center with advanced equipment and diverse specialties.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure clinical quality and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards while fostering a positive patient experience.
- Manage facility budgets, financial performance, and operational risks effectively.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures.
- Oversee staffing, performance management, and workforce planning for clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Develop service lines and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Participate in facility performance reporting and operational reviews.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead daily administrative, clinical support, and business functions of the facility.
- Serve as liaison between the Governing Board, Medical Staff, and facility leadership.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation, quality, and safety standards.
- Develop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgets effectively.
- Monitor financial performance and address operational risks proactively.
- Support physician relationships, credentialing processes, and medical staff coordination.
- Manage vendor, service, and physician contracts efficiently.
- Oversee quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for service line development and operational improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required, with a focus on healthcare or business administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient surgery operations leadership; 5 years preferred.
- Proven experience managing clinical and non-clinical staff, including performance management and workforce planning.
- Demonstrated ability to manage full budgets and P&L statements effectively.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards for ambulatory surgery centers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with physicians, staff, and governing boards.
- Experience in quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives.
- Ability to identify opportunities for service line development and operational improvement.
