Overview

  • Lead operations of a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center with advanced equipment and diverse specialties.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure clinical quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards while fostering a positive patient experience.
  • Manage facility budgets, financial performance, and operational risks effectively.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures.
  • Oversee staffing, performance management, and workforce planning for clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Develop service lines and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Participate in facility performance reporting and operational reviews.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead daily administrative, clinical support, and business functions of the facility.
  • Serve as liaison between the Governing Board, Medical Staff, and facility leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, quality, and safety standards.
  • Develop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgets effectively.
  • Monitor financial performance and address operational risks proactively.
  • Support physician relationships, credentialing processes, and medical staff coordination.
  • Manage vendor, service, and physician contracts efficiently.
  • Oversee quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for service line development and operational improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required, with a focus on healthcare or business administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient surgery operations leadership; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven experience managing clinical and non-clinical staff, including performance management and workforce planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage full budgets and P&L statements effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards for ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with physicians, staff, and governing boards.
  • Experience in quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for service line development and operational improvement.
