Overview

  • Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician on a contract basis.
  • Provide essential pharmacy support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Work onsite in a facility equipped with advanced pharmacy systems.
  • Engage in compounding hazardous and non-hazardous medications.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure efficient operations.
  • Contribute to patient care by ensuring accurate medication dispensing.
  • Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to streamline pharmacy processes.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
  • Participate in weekend coverage as needed to support facility operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Refill and manage Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
  • Compound hazardous and non-hazardous medications following safety protocols.
  • Perform accurate order entry using EPIC systems.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Adhere to dress code policies, wearing black scrubs.
  • Complete site-specific HR credentials and training prior to starting.
  • Participate in weekend shifts as required to maintain service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
  • Support pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certified and Ohio-licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Experience with Pyxis systems is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with EPIC systems is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in compounding hazardous and non-hazardous medications.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend shifts.
  • Completion of site-specific HR credentials prior to start.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within a healthcare setting.
