Job Description
Overview
- Ensure the proper installation, testing, and operation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and controls.
- Collaborate with project teams to verify compliance with contract documents and building codes.
- Conduct inspections and verify installations of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Witness and validate startup, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Work closely with subcontractors and third-party inspectors to resolve non-conforming work.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ASME, ASHRAE, and NFPA.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance and control throughout project execution.
- Contribute to strategic solutions and align teams to achieve desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review contract documents and subcontractor submittals for compliance with project specifications.
- Inspect mechanical installations, including ductwork, piping, insulation, and equipment, for adherence to standards.
- Verify startup, testing, and commissioning processes for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with project management teams and stakeholders to address and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Monitor and document quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure project success.
- Support the resolution of punch list items and project closeout activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction, piping, HVAC installation, or quality assurance/control.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, ASHRAE, and NFPA.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Demonstrated initiative and responsibility in delivering value and excellence.
- Alignment with professional standards of excellence and ethical practices.
- US citizenship required.
