Overview

- Perform monthly close processes, generating detailed internal and external financial reports.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Oversee banking transactions, wires, and debt service payments for assigned properties.
- Manage mortgage escrows, reserve accounts, and tenant security deposits with precision.
- Support annual external financial audits and contribute to ad-hoc financial projects.
- Utilize advanced property management software to streamline accounting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial operations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and distribute accurate financial statements for allocated properties.
- Perform daily reviews and updates of banking transactions and reconciliations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with financial standards.
- Manage monthly wires, debt service payments, and escrow accounts efficiently.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, including tenant security accounts.
- Support month-end close processes and external financial audits.
- Assist with accounting tasks for tax credit residential properties.
- Contribute to process improvements and ad-hoc financial projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management.
- Proficiency in Yardi software is essential for this role.
- Experience with tax credit residential properties is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools is required.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
