Overview

  • The Grants & Contracts Analyst will manage assigned grants portfolios and finance billing activities, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational standards.
  • This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and submitting reports to funders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet project deadlines and support audits, providing critical financial insights and forecasts.
  • Ensure contract revenues and expenditures align with general ledger accounts, maintaining financial integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate subcontractor compliance, invoicing, and reporting, ensuring adherence to contract terms and organizational policies.
  • Perform financial analysis using advanced Excel skills, generating detailed reports and schedules for stakeholders.
  • Support budget preparation and provide narratives for new and existing programs, collaborating with FP&A teams.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage assigned contract portfolios from registration to closeout, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
  • Prepare and submit timely contract vouchers, billing packages, and reports to funding sources.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, verifying reimbursements align with contract amounts.
  • Initiate follow-ups on outstanding accounts receivable balances, responding to grantor requests effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of departmental projects.
  • Assist with program audits and year-end organizational audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports using Excel, providing forecasts and analysis for assigned programs.
  • Coordinate subcontractor compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to organizational policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, supporting the organization's financial operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Preferred 4 years of experience in nonprofit financial management and grants administration.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with accounting software like FE or similar platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness in financial operations.
  • Understanding of grants and billing practices, with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
