Overview
- Lead firmwide expense analytics and budget administration, delivering actionable financial insights to senior leadership.
- Focus on expense management, cost control, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments and global regions.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to enhance financial reporting and close cycle processes.
- Drive continuous process improvement and strengthen internal controls for expense reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial models, projections, and management-ready reporting schedules.
- Support multi-currency expense reporting and ensure accurate foreign exchange application.
- Prepare accurate financial information for leadership and external reporting purposes.
- Lead special projects and strategic analyses for senior finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage annual budget development and quarterly reforecasting processes.
- Distribute monthly financial reports with commentary on key performance indicators and trends.
- Analyze expense performance, investigate variances, and deliver concise explanations.
- Conduct large-scale expense analytics initiatives to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Advise global budget stakeholders on planning cycles and variance discussions.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams to improve reporting accuracy.
- Research anomalies and structural expense changes with minimal supervision.
- Enhance reporting automation and financial tools for improved data integrity.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or FP&A.
- Professional services or law firm experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel expertise required, including PivotTables and complex formulas.
- Experience with financial systems such as 3E or Thomson Reuters AFS preferred.
- Strong knowledge of expense accounting, cost classification, and control principles.
- Proven financial modeling and forecasting skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into executive-level insights and narratives.
