Overview

  • Support a dynamic trademark practice group in a hybrid work arrangement, contributing to the management and protection of intellectual property portfolios.
  • Assist with domestic and international trademark filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all processes.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to streamline workflow and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage with clients and international counsel, fostering strong professional relationships and effective communication.
  • Maintain and update electronic records and databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Utilize organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and professional team environment, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
  • Apply meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of trademark prosecution and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, renewals, and assignments with precision and adherence to regulations.
  • Coordinate foreign trademark filings, managing communications with international counsel effectively.
  • Organize and maintain electronic files and databases, ensuring comprehensive documentation of trademark matters.
  • Monitor and report maintenance deadlines, filing details, and updates to clients promptly.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals on trademark-related projects, contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Engage with clients professionally, addressing inquiries and providing updates on trademark matters.
  • Assist in managing multiple priorities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Ensure precision and accuracy in all trademark-related activities, maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required, with a focus on legal or related studies preferred.
  • Paralegal certification preferred; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal database management essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and team interactions.
  • Experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment preferred, with a focus on intellectual property.
