Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the financial operations and reporting of investment funds within a dynamic finance team.
  • Maintain and analyze fund-level accounting records and general ledger for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external administrators to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Support fund audits, tax preparation, and regulatory filings with precision and timeliness.
  • Engage in capital activity processing and investor reporting to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Utilize technical accounting expertise to enhance financial reporting and compliance processes.
  • Participate in formation and documentation activities for new funds and entities.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a focus on excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting for investment funds.
  • Review fund administrator NAV packages and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Calculate management fees, carried interest allocations, and fund expenses accurately.
  • Coordinate capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting activities.
  • Prepare schedules and respond to inquiries during fund audits.
  • Assist with tax estimates and regulatory filings in collaboration with advisors.
  • Support onboarding processes and maintain compliance with KYC requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and treasury teams for documentation and account management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in private equity, hedge funds, or fund administration.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and investment accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
