Overview
- Lead the accounts payable department, ensuring efficient processing of invoices, checks, and ACH payments.
- Manage a team of five employees, fostering collaboration and maintaining high performance standards.
- Oversee vendor communication, compliance, and sales tax processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Utilize CMiC Construction Software or Sage Timberline for accounts payable operations.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and accountability for deadlines and deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal resources to optimize accounts payable workflows and systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while managing accounts payable functions.
- Work onsite with a schedule of 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise accounts payable staff, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Process vendor invoices, checks, and ACH payments with precision and timeliness.
- Manage subcontractor compliance and sales tax reporting requirements.
- Ensure vendor communication is professional and responsive to maintain strong relationships.
- Utilize CMiC Construction Software or Sage Timberline for efficient accounts payable operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts payable processes and systems.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Prepare reports and analyses to support financial decision-making and audits.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience; 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in CMiC Construction Software or Sage Timberline essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Highly organized and capable of meeting deadlines with accuracy.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and vendor compliance processes.
- Ability to work onsite with a fixed schedule and collaborate effectively.
