Job Description
Overview
- Serve as a Tier 2 escalation resource for benefits-related cases, ensuring accurate administration and high-quality employee support.
- Manage complex benefits inquiries, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement programs.
- Provide guidance on eligibility, enrollment, documentation requirements, and process navigation for employees.
- Collaborate with the Benefits Center of Excellence for policy interpretation and compliance determinations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance employee experience and reduce unnecessary escalations.
- Participate in operational reviews to identify trends and strengthen service delivery.
- Contribute to maintaining and updating knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
- Hybrid work schedule with three days onsite at the office weekly.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage complex benefits-related inquiries and provide accurate guidance on program eligibility and enrollment.
- Act as the primary escalation point for benefits cases within Shared Services.
- Prepare structured escalation summaries for compliance-sensitive matters.
- Support benefits administration and escalate policy interpretation to the Benefits COE.
- Deliver empathetic and professional service to employees and managers.
- Identify root causes of recurring inquiries and recommend process improvements.
- Train and guide team members on benefits processes and documentation standards.
- Audit benefits transactions for data accuracy and compliance.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or HR operations.
- Working knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance considerations.
- Experience handling complex employee benefits inquiries and escalations.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is advantageous.
