Job Description

Overview

  • Provide exceptional nursing care in a dynamic outpatient surgery center environment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient vitals during procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure procedural success.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR systems.
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room for various surgical specialties.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a sterile environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning.

Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in surgical or critical care nursing.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture, IV administration, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
