Job Description

Overview

  • Provide exceptional service to applicants, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of applications and inquiries.
  • Handle NEBF application processing, including document validation and benefit calculations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational standards and performance metrics.
  • Assist in research and preparation of Social Security authorizations and transcripts.
  • Support the contact center as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the applicant services department.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review and validate documents required for NEBF application processing.
  • Process status requests, applications, and verification requests accurately and timely.
  • Calculate benefits and prepare system letters for approval or rejection.
  • Research work history and Social Security transcripts to support application processing.
  • Recalculate benefits due to additional service credits or retroactive payments.
  • Provide backup support for the contact center as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with participants, vendors, and departments to resolve problems.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and adhere to performance standards.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in benefit fund administration; Taft-Hartley Trust Fund experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing complex issues with a cooperative and positive demeanor.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues collaboratively with participants and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with Social Security Administration processes and document preparation.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional image and organizational standards.
  • Experience with benefit calculations and application processing preferred.
