Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to investment accounting processes for a global portfolio valued at $65 billion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Develop expertise in accounting for various asset classes, including fixed income and derivatives.
  • Utilize advanced accounting software and tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects to support strategic investment initiatives.
  • Participate in the development and execution of investment strategies with finance teams.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment promoting professional growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform daily and monthly accounting tasks, including cash balance reconciliation and trade reviews.
  • Ensure accuracy of security master data and manage investment-related receivables and payables.
  • Develop and apply control frameworks to assigned accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to automate account reconciliation processes.
  • Resolve issues and exceptions in partnership with Stamford office teams.
  • Take ownership of outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in GAAP/Statutory accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to navigate conflicts effectively.
  • Experience with account reconciliations and exception management preferred.
  • Familiarity with Oracle General Ledger, TM1, PAM, and Aladdin is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet critical business timelines.
