Overview
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments.
- Lead a team of five employees, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high productivity.
- Ensure compliance with subcontractor regulations, sales tax requirements, and vendor communication protocols.
- Collaborate with internal resources to optimize accounts payable processes and system transitions.
- Utilize CMiC Construction Software or Sage Timberline for efficient accounts payable operations.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, organization, and accountability in all financial transactions.
- Work onsite with provided daily lunch and accessible transportation options.
- Participate in video and onsite interviews as part of the hiring process.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise accounts payable staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and deadlines.
- Oversee vendor invoice processing, vendor checks, ACH payments, and vendor statements.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance and manage sales tax documentation.
- Develop and implement efficient accounts payable workflows and procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Maintain detailed records and generate reports for management review.
- Provide training and support for team members on software and compliance updates.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of accounts payable experience; 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in CMiC Construction Software or Sage Timberline is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
