Job Description

Overview

  • Lead business development initiatives for a respected general contractor specializing in healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to drive growth and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to support business development efforts.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Support the execution of strategic plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve organizational growth objectives.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand the company's network.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote its services and capabilities.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Track and report on business development activities, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Support the negotiation and closing of contracts with clients and partners.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in construction or related industries.
  • Preferred 7 years of experience in a similar role demonstrating successful growth strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial construction sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and business development software is advantageous.
