Job Description

Overview

  • Lead preconstruction activities, including estimating, scheduling, and design coordination for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, design consultants, and project owners during the preconstruction phase.
  • Oversee the estimating department to ensure accurate project cost assessments.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of preconstruction milestones.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the preconstruction team.
  • Report directly to the Regional Vice President, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in preconstruction processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate project success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage and coordinate preconstruction phases of construction projects.
  • Oversee estimating department operations and ensure accuracy in cost assessments.
  • Collaborate with architects and design consultants to align project goals.
  • Develop project schedules and manage preconstruction timelines effectively.
  • Act as the primary contact for project owners during preconstruction phases.
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the preconstruction team.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Report progress and challenges to the Regional Vice President.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in preconstruction or construction management.
  • Preferred 25 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Executive-level experience with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and design coordination.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment effectively.
