Overview

  • Lead nursing operations for a high-acuity Birth Center within a premier healthcare facility.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Manage resources effectively to support the hospital's mission and regulatory standards.
  • Provide leadership for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Oversee a Birth Center with 3,500 annual births and a Level III NICU.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the department.
  • Support professional development and training for nursing staff.
  • Maintain a patient-centered approach to care delivery and family support.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct nursing operations for the Birth Center, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other departments to address patient and family needs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance department efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets and resources responsibly.
  • Ensure staff compliance with certifications, training, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in patient care and safety.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for the nursing team.
  • Maintain accountability for department operations and outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent leadership experience in Women Services in a large hospital.
  • Experience managing high-acuity facilities with over 3,500 births annually.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills required.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS certification.
  • Proven ability to manage resources and budgets effectively.
