- Provide leadership for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Oversee a Birth Center with 3,500 annual births and a Level III NICU.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the department.
- Support professional development and training for nursing staff.
- Maintain a patient-centered approach to care delivery and family support.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct nursing operations for the Birth Center, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other departments to address patient and family needs.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance department efficiency.
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets and resources responsibly.
- Ensure staff compliance with certifications, training, and regulatory standards.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in patient care and safety.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for the nursing team.
- Maintain accountability for department operations and outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license.
- Minimum 5 years of recent leadership experience in Women Services in a large hospital.
- Experience managing high-acuity facilities with over 3,500 births annually.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills required.
- Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS certification.
- Proven ability to manage resources and budgets effectively.
