Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Obtain patient vital signs and discuss symptoms to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer medications and vaccines, adhering to established medical protocols.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for diagnostic screening tests.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms to facilitate efficient patient care delivery.
- Sterilize and clean medical equipment, ensuring a safe clinical environment.
- Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- Participate in the organization's Tuberculosis screening program as part of patient-facing duties.
Job Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification as a Registered Medical Assistant.
- Associate of Arts degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR certification is mandatory for patient-facing roles.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred for enhanced proficiency.
- Experience in medication/vaccine administration and phlebotomy is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Value-Based Care, including HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience metrics.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous; proficiency exam required.
- Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
