Overview
- Lead the strategic development and management of comprehensive employee benefits programs aligned with organizational goals and workforce needs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design competitive, cost-effective, and compliant benefit plans enhancing employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Oversee vendor relationships and negotiations to optimize service delivery and program effectiveness.
- Ensure seamless operation of health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Provide expert guidance on benefits-related laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to support organizational compliance.
- Directly manage and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Contribute to organizational success by aligning benefits strategies with broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design, implement, and oversee employee benefit programs including health & welfare, retirement, absence & time-off, and well-being initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with benefits-related laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to mitigate risks.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts to achieve optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Support annual benefit renewals, including vendor negotiations, plan costs, and benefit plan design enhancements.
- Oversee daily operations and administration of benefit programs and policies to ensure smooth execution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address employee and manager needs effectively and efficiently.
- Provide strategic input to enhance benefits offerings, aligning them with organizational goals and employee expectations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in benefits management, with 10 years preferred.
- Proven expertise in vendor negotiations, 401K administration, leave of absence, and health and welfare plan management.
- Proficiency in Workday and related benefits management systems is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives while managing day-to-day operations effectively.
- Excellent collaboration skills and adaptability to organizational changes.
- Experience managing direct reports and fostering team development and growth.
